It's a joke/nickname from high school... I liked this guy who sat next to me in jazz band. He wore converse all-stars with flames drawn on them (back before you could buy them like that... I'm old...er.) and my friends always joked that I liked "hellshoes". It was supposed to be a code nickname for him, but somehow it stuck for me, so being 15 I turned it into my email address. The 27 was part of my locker number. I keep meaning to change it (the email address is still active) because it's "so professional" but I haven't. I use it (the email and the handle) for pretty much everything. My actual name is Hallie, so you can call me that if you prefer.

At the last St. Maidil's festival Cai attends in Heathering she wears an owl mask. Gorsha tells her she picked that mask for three reasons. Name two of them.

FYI, if you were 15 when you got your email address, (first or otherwise) then you're not that old! I was in college and reading Ruins before I even heard of email.

No, I know I'm not *super* old. But I'm older than I once was, and younger than I'll be. But that's not unusual. I'm guessing I'm only a few years behind you. 6 at the most. MT came out when I was in high school. I like Hallie better too, but I'm prejudiced towards it. I would LOVE to find out who Halla and Hallan's name saint is... yet another thing I'm longing for in CT.

Ah, not impossible.

But certainly a challenge!

One was the Colonade. Where the whole family can be in one place. I just remember it was still a chaotic mess with no real sense of beauty or design.
